Torchlight Infinite, the little game that could, has just announced a partnership with Maxroll.gg, the number one online resource for ARPG guides and strategies.
This means that Torchlight Infinite has joined the ranks of Diablo 2,3,4; Lost Ark, and Path of Exile, stepping out of the dark shadow cast by the abomination that is Diablo Immortal. If you remember, back in June, Maxroll kicked DI to the curb, in large part due to its predatory monetization scheme.
Early on, I gave the Torchlight Devs a hard time because of some of the monetization, however my assumptions (which were tainted by my bitterness over Diablo Immortal) turned out to be incorrect. The game’s monetization is extremely fair, and is in no way P2W.
I’m really glad to see the Torchlight Infinite getting this kind of treatment. I only hope it continues for many years to come. If you haven’t played this game yet, download it and give it a try; you won’t be disappointed.
